Starting March 4th, 2001 at the Daytona International Speedway, riders Jason Paden and Stoney Landers, top instructors for Keith Code’s California Superbike School, will contest the highly competitive SFX-Formula-USA national road race series on Suzuki GSXR 600’s.
“We’re very excited about the GSXR this season, anticipating great things from it” said Freedom Motorsports Group team owner and captain, Kent Gray. “The bike is very fast right out of the box. We’ve only made minor modifications: motor work, suspension, pipes and cosmetics. Initial testing yielded better than expected lap times.”
Riders Paden and Landers were both personally trained and coached by Keith Code who has worked with 14 of the last 17 world champions including 3-time winner Wayne Rainey.
Title sponsor is Dianetics, the world’s most popular self-help book written by L. Ron Hubbard. Dianetics was chosen because of the success that Code and riders Paden and Landers have experienced with it in improving their concentration and focus.
Both Paden and Landers are looking forward to returning to Daytona and to nationally ranked status after intensive training with Code. Jason Paden was ranked 8th in the nation in 250 Grand Prix class in 1995. Stoney Landers won the national championship in WERA 600 production amateur championship in his first season and three other regional championships on a 600cc Sportbike.
“In this class, which is probably the most competitive, you need the best of everything—riders, equipment, mental focus, fitness, training and team spirit,” said Gray. “We’ve spared nothing to get each of these elements right.”
